Membership fees are charged by financial year. There are three types of membership – Active, Retired and First-time – and members have the option to pay for one or three years’ membership. Please click on the appropriate payment option below.
Payment of fees does not guarantee membership. Membership of the AJOA is strictly limited to those persons who meet our eligibility criteria as set out in our Rules. If you have any questions as to your eligibility, please contact us.
This membership type is for judicial officers of a court of the Commonwealth of Australia or of a State or internal Territory of Australia who are renewing their membership. Please note: – if this is your FIRST TIME as a member of the Association, you are eligible for the First time member rate – see below – if you have retired but continue to serve on a court in an acting or reserve capacity, you are eligible for the Retired member rate – see below
There is a discounted rate for retired judicial officers, regardless of whether they continue to sit on the bench in an acting or reserve capacity.
The first year of membership is discounted for first-time members of the Association. Membership is valid from the date of becoming a member to the end of the financial year. First-time members who join after 31 January receive an extension of their membership to the following financial year. Retired judicial officers who join the Association for the first-time should pay the Retired member rate (above).
